Amanda, one of our Registered Nurses, graduated from Hesston College in 2013. After completing her registered nursing program, Sonday began a new graduate program for labor and delivery in 2012 at Providence St Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California. She continued there until 2017 when her family decided to move to Newton, KS. She and her husband, who is a Presbyterian pastor, have 3 children. Their youngest child is 15 months old.
Rosene grew up on a farm in Kansas, the oldest daughter of seven children. Her three youngest siblings were born at home, which sparked her interest in midwifery. She worked alongside Lois and Angel as secretary at the Birth and Women’s Health Center from 2007-2009, getting to know clients and their families from an office viewpoint. She then spent 3 ½ years in Thailand, caring for orphaned children in foster care. After returning to the States she graduated with her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2016. She spent the first year and a half on a telemetry unit, and in July 2018 took a new position on pediatrics and labor & delivery. She especially loves infants and toddlers, and enjoys watching families grow and bond.
